ASSISTANT ACROBATICS AND TUMBLING COACH

Overview Position: Assistant Acrobatics and Tumbling Coach Belmont Abbey College, an NCAA Division II institution and member of the Conference Carolinas, invites applications for the current position of Assistant Acrobatics and Tumbling Coach. Responsibilities Assist with all aspects of a collegiate acrobatics and tumbling program, including recruiting qualified student-athletes, monitoring academic progress toward degree, budgeting, scheduling, competition and practice preparation, individual and program development, facility maintenance, fundraising, and community activity. Adhere to all rules, guidelines, and principles as set forth by NCATA, the NCAA, Conference Carolinas and Belmont Abbey College. Qualifications Preference given to candidates who can demonstrate a vision in recruiting student-athletes aligned with the institution’s mission and character as a distinctively Catholic and Benedictine college that views sport as a means of developing virtue. The minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, professional membership in USA Gymnastics, NCATA experience and/or affiliation, and at least one year of experience coaching acrobatics and tumbling OR one or more disciplines of gymnastics and/or competitive cheer, preferably at the collegiate level. Candidate must wholeheartedly embrace the College’s mission to educate students in the liberal arts and sciences “so that in all things God may be glorified.” Demonstrate skills, attitudes, and stable disposition of character to support Catholic and Benedictine identity while fostering development of mind, body, and spirit in students, staff and the greater community.
