Multicraft Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

Ensures safe, reliable operations by conducting preventive and corrective maintenance, responding to downtime, inspecting for potential issues, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with safety and technical standards.Secondary Responsibilities:Visually inspect and listen to machinery and equipment to identify malfunctions, unusual conditions, or performance issues, including testing as requiredDiagnose equipment failures by reviewing machine operation, schematics, manuals, and input from operators and other maintenance personnelInstall, repair, and modify mechanical components, including bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, and rotating equipmentInstall, maintain, and repair electrical power and control systems, including transformers, wiring, motors, drives, sensors, and related componentsTroubleshoot and support PLC-controlled and automated equipment through diagnostics, testing, and component replacementUse electrical and electronic test equipment such as multimeters, amp probes, megohm meters, oscilloscopes, and similar devicesLay out, assemble, install, and maintain piping, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including valves, regulators, gauges, and pumpsFabricate, repair, or modify parts, jigs, fixtures, and structures using machine tools, welding, cutting, or fabrication equipmentPerform conduit installation, circuit routing, and electrical terminations where qualifiedSupport equipment upgrades, installations, and modifications with minimal disruption to operationsWork with supervisors, operators, vendors, and OEM technical support to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issuesAssist with parts identification, ordering, inventory control, and updating documentation or electrical panels as requiredProvide training, technical assistance, and knowledge sharing to other maintenance team members as neededParticipate in continuous improvement, reliability initiatives, and process enhancements to improve safety, efficiency, and uptimeMaintain compliance with all safety policies, including lockout/tagout, arc flash requirements, PPE usage, and situational awarenessMaintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with Food Safety, 5S, and departmental standardsRespond to pager, radio, or call-in requests as required and support maintenance needs across departments or locationsPerform other maintenance-related duties as assignedAuthority: Must have the ability to lead a crew that has been placed with them to execute the demands of the maintenance operation efficiently and to respond to oral instructions from the supervisor and written instructions.Qualifications:Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school, or one year related manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language Skills: Must have the ability to read and understand documents, letters, etc. and write legibly in English. Must be able to understand and speak clearly, communicate, and understand directions in English as needed. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Mathematical Skills: Able to calculate figures, amounts such as proportions, area, circumference, and volume. Apply the concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Must become a Certified Fork Lift operator in accordance with SCT training and carry a copy of your certification with you.Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, regularly required to walk, stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with arms and hands. Frequently is required to climb, balance, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lifts/moves 25 to 50 pounds. Must be able to perform these functions for a minimum of 8 hours straight (with a 30-minute meal break any other applicable breaks during the shift) on a regular basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Moving mechanical parts will also be exposed; safety guards have been put in place for the safety of all Team members but during set up, if a machine must be broken down and reassembled to complete the next job, questions regarding such operation should be directed to your supervisor as they arise.
