Senior Director, Early Phase Formulation Development

Kymera Therapeutics seeks a Senior Director of Early Phase Formulation Development to lead preformulation and formulation activities for its pipeline of small molecule protein degraders. This role combines hands-on scientific expertise with team leadership to address drug delivery challenges from candidate selection through early clinical development.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation development across portfolio programs with focus on preformulation and drug product design
• Drive innovation in enabling formulation technologies to address solubility and bioavailability challenges
• Design and execute phase-appropriate formulation strategies for preclinical studies and early clinical programs
• Coordinate with external CROs and CDMOs to execute formulation and drug product development activities
• Support CMC regulatory strategy and establish best practices and SOPs for early formulation development

Requirements

• Deep expertise in preformulation, biopharmaceutics, and enabling formulation technologies
• Strong track record advancing small molecule programs from discovery through IND
• Experience designing formulation strategies for preclinical and early clinical development
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaborations in biotech environments
• Knowledge of solubility and bioavailability challenges in drug development
• Experience managing external CRO and CDMO partnerships
