Exciting Opportunity at MSK Join the research team of Dr. Urvi Shah in the Myeloma Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). Our group conducts innovative clinical trials investigating the role of nutrition, metabolism, and the microbiome in patients with multiple myeloma and related blood disorders. We are seeking a highly motivated, patient-centered Clinical Research Project Associate to support prospective dietary intervention studies, including trials in patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma and clonal hematopoiesis. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with patients, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to research that has the potential to improve cancer outcomes and quality of life. Role Overview The Clinical Research Project Associate will serve as a primary coordinator for clinical research studies and will be responsible for participant recruitment, screening, enrollment, retention, study visit coordination, biospecimen collection oversight, data collection, and study operations. Key Responsibilities Identifying and recruiting eligible participants for clinical research studies. Conducting screening, consent, and enrollment activities. Coordinating study visits, questionnaires, dietary assessments, and biospecimen collection. Maintaining communication with participants throughout study participation. Tracking recruitment, enrollment, and study progress metrics. Managing study databases, documentation, and data quality activities. Supporting regulatory submissions and protocol compliance. Collaborating with physicians, nurses, dietitians, laboratory personnel, and other research staff to ensure successful study execution. Assisting with abstracts, manuscripts, presentations, and other research-related activities as appropriate. Key Qualifications Prior experience in clinical research, healthcare, patient-facing roles, project coordination, or related fields preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience using Microsoft Excel and other data management tools. Experience with REDCap, clinical research databases, or regulatory documentation is preferred. Experience with R programming, data visualization, or statistical analysis is a plus but not required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Interest in clinical research, nutrition, cancer care, or academic medicine is encouraged. Core Skills Comfortable communicating with patients by phone, video, and in person. Highly organized and able to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously. Adaptable and responsive to time-sensitive enrollment and scheduling opportunities. Additional Information Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm (flexibility required depending on patient schedules and operational needs). Location: David H.
