Job Title: RN: Corrections

Location: Chesapeake, Virginia

Setting: State Prison

Pay Range: $1,850 weekly

Schedule: 36 hours per week, Days (Note: Includes Days, Every other weekend, Holidays as needed)

Contract Length: 13 to 26 weeks

Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience as an RN
• Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1-3 years of experience in a correctional setting
• Valid Virginia RN license (or able to obtain Virginia licensure)
• Willing to obtain Virginia licensure if not already licensed in the state

Responsibilities: As a healthcare professional in a corrections facility, your role is vital in ensuring the safety, wellness, and rehabilitation of an underserved patient population. Your responsibilities include:

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and deliver acute and chronic care services within the RN scope in a correctional environment.
• Manage medication administration, triage, and emergency response procedures in alignment with correctional healthcare standards.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to accurately document patient care, treatment plans, and follow-up, in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
