Position is working all front and verifying insurance plans in a large General Surgery Medical Group. Summary: Title: Insurance Verification Specialist Hourly Pay Rate: $22-$23 p/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM to 4:30PM, could start as early as 5:30am on surgery days. Start Date: Immediate Location: Laguna Woods, CA **Bilingual, Spanish is a plus and surgery background!** Duties : Processing insurance plans for a high volume of patient load. This clinic sees about 80 patients on a Monday! Must have great knowledge of California insurance plans and trainable. Will be required to contact insurance providers to verify coverage and obtain authorization for service. Verifying large insurance plans: A good understanding of CPT codes and providing the patients a good breakdown of their financial responsibility by being courteous to them. The customer service piece plays a big role since patients are already nervous of their procedures Heavily deal with surgical and GI's and must be able to explain their benefits Position Requirements High School Diploma or GED A minimum of 2-3 years recent medical experience in a medical office Great attitude, friendly to patients Bilingual, Spanish is a plus and surgery background! Quick Learner is a must! TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Some patient assistance will be required. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone and other office equipment is also required.
