Assistant Store Manager (ASM)The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) will contribute to Smoothie King's success by assisting the GM in leading his/her team to create and maintain an exceptional Guest Experience while upholding brand standards, as well as modeling and acting in accordance with Northern Blends mission and core values. The Assistant General Manager is involved in all areas of store operations, which include:Leading and developing his/her teamEnsuring an exceptional Guest ExperienceProviding a high-quality productMaximizing sales performanceDriving profitability while maintaining a fun and welcoming atmosphereDaily OperationsFosters a culture of exceptional guest experienceReviews store environment and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement, and adjusts accordingly.Drives implementation of company programs through action planning and inspires the team to meet operational standards. Promotes and maintains consistent accountability and adherence to company policies and procedures, ensuring all operational changes are communicated and implemented.Develops and oversees partnerships with local community members and participates in local events to build brand awareness.Uses operational tools, such as Profit and Loss Statement, Business Review, Cash management, Log including banking policies and procedures, Labor Matrix and Inventory Management tools, to achieve Operational Excellence.Building Effective TeamsChallenges the team to achieve resultsEnsures each employee follows and completes Training Tools on The BlendActively manages the team by utilizing performance management tools to support organizational objectives, provide feedback, and set goalsRecognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing tools and programs, as well as finding new, creative, and effective methods of recognition.Utilizes and demonstrates effective management practices to create and maintain a successful store team resulting in an environment where the team feels valued and respected.Champions and embodies our culture, mission, and core values.Work closely with the District Leader to execute all initiatives in the field.Maximize satisfaction through ensuring high levels of Guest service, including oversight of Guest reviews and escalated Guest issues.Works to maintain store cleanliness and upkeep, including monthly inspections, systems reviews, and coordinating the update/replacement of damaged equipment or facilities.Communicate and manage all marketing strategies and promotions in the store, ensuring proper execution to drive results.Understands the local competition and keeps current on changes in the food service landscape.ComposureHandles Guest concerns at the store level to the guests' satisfactionCommunicates unexpected situations to Team Members calmly and without showing resistance and/or frustrationIs considered a confident and/or resource in a tough situationEssential Job FunctionsAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and writtenAbility to manage store operations independentlyAbility to manage effectively in a fast paced environmentAbility to manage resources to ensure established service levels are maintained at all timesExceptional Interpersonal SkillsOrganizational and planning skills for yourself and your teamStrong problem solving skillsTeam building skillsStrong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor othersAbility to handle confidential and sensitive informationAvailable to work flexible schedule, including nights and weekendsAbility to tolerate exposure to a wide variety of fresh, dried and/or frozen products, and powdered substances, including, but not limited to, strawberries, bananas, peanuts, tree nuts (such as almonds), milk, soy, proteins, grains and spices without posing a direct threat to personal health and safetyAbility to follow procedures and willingness to comply with dress code requirementsAbility to operate a blender and POS cashier systemQualificationsMinimum High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to perform basic POS and computer functionsMust be team oriented, self-motivated, and well organized.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit, stand and use his/her hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time, exempt position. This position may work outside of normal business hours to include evenings and weekends as needed. Minimums of 40 to 45 hours are required.
