Position Overview MGT is seeking a Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Lead to own and lead recruiting efforts for our growing management consulting practice. This individual will serve as both a full-cycle recruiter and campus recruiting lead, helping attract, assess, and hire exceptional consulting talent across experienced hire and university pipelines. The ideal candidate is based in the Washington, D.C. or Salt Lake City area, though we are open to remote candidates with relevant experience and the ability to travel as needed. This individual should have prior experience working in management consulting or recruiting within a consulting environment and be excited to take ownership of recruiting strategy and execution. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to shape the future of talent acquisition at MGT. As a Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Lead, you will: Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for consulting roles across the firm, including Analysts, Associate Consultants, Engagement Managers, and specialized hires Partner closely with consulting leadership to understand hiring needs, workforce planning, and recruiting priorities Build and manage relationships with top universities, student organizations, career centers, and MBA programs Serve as the primary campus recruiting liaison for MGT, coordinating recruiting events, interview processes, and internship programs Source and engage high-caliber candidates from consulting firms, graduate programs, and adjacent industries Own candidate experience from initial outreach through offer acceptance and onboarding coordination Develop and improve recruiting processes, interview frameworks, and talent tracking systems Manage recruiting operations including scheduling, pipeline management, reporting, and coordination with hiring teams Support employer branding initiatives, recruiting marketing, and thought leadership efforts Take initiative in building scalable recruiting strategies and identifying opportunities to improve talent acquisition outcomes Qualifications While there is no single educational or professional background that best prepares someone for success in this role, we typically look for the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required 5+ years of experience in management consulting, consulting recruiting, talent acquisition, or a related professional services environment Prior experience working in or recruiting for management/strategy consulting strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to independently own projects and drive results in fast-paced environments Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with candidates, universities, and senior leaders Exceptional communication skills in English, both verbal and written Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously High degree of professionalism, judgment, and attention to detail Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to build, improve, and lead recruiting initiatives Passion for talent development and building high-performing teams Helpful Skills & Experience The following skills and experiences are especially valuable in this role: Full-cycle recruiting Campus recruiting and university relationship management Interview coordination and candidate assessment Talent sourcing and pipeline development Employer branding and recruiting marketing Recruiting systems management Event planning and recruiting operations Stakeholder management Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPoint Microsoft Teams/Outlook Proposal and presentation support Professional services or consulting industry experience NOTE: We currently do not accept candidates that require sponsorship, nor are we able to provide sponsorship opportunities to candidates.
