Assistant Produce Manager

Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace is looking for an experienced Assistant Produce Manager to join our busy Produce Department operations! Assist in leading our Produce Department, manage displays and inventory, and ensure customers enjoy the freshest fruits and vegetables with outstanding service. This full-time Assistant Manager position offers a consistent 48-hour work week, including 8 hours paid at overtime rates each week - giving you the opportunity to earn more with a predictable schedule. Your Role: Assist the Produce Manager with daily department operations, including staffing, hiring, training, and supervision Manage activities related to stocking, pricing, and rotating merchandise Collaborate on marketing events, pricing plans, and promotional activities to maximize sales Assist in ordering, receiving, and displaying products to maintain quality standards Track inventory to prevent out-of-stock or overstock situations Prepare weekly sales reports and maintain accurate records of sales, purchases, and transfers Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment Dispose of outdated or spoiled produce Work closely with leadership to monitor procurement costs and maintain budget Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues promptly Perform other duties as assigned What We're Looking For: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 3 years of experience working with produce, fruits, and vegetables Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to follow sanitary and safety guidelines Ability to work in cold/refrigerated environments and varied shifts Fluent in English Working Conditions: Active role requiring frequent movement, bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 30 lbs; heavier items with assistance) Indoor environment with temperature changes (coolers, freezers) and occasional loud equipment Safe handling of cleaning agents Perks & Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage PTO and 401(k) 50% off lunch, 25% off in-store shopping And more! #J-18808-Ljbffr Uncle Gs Management Corp.
