Logistics Operator$23.00-$25.00/hour1st Shift7:00am-4:00pmQps Employment Group is seeking a logistics operator to support day-to-day warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, and material-handling activities for a company in Oak Creek, WI. This is a potential to hire opportunity for 1st shift.Logistics operator responsibilities include but are not limited to:Receive incoming materials and freight: unload trucks, verify shipments against documentation, inspect for visible damage or discrepancies, and route or stage material to the correct locationPrepare outbound shipments by picking, packaging, wrapping, palletizing, labeling, securing, and staging finished goods or materials according to shipping requirementsPrepare, verify, and maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading (bols), labels, packing information, and shipment recordsOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely; complete routine pre-use checks and report equipment issues promptlyMove and stage materials throughout warehouse, dock, and production areas to support efficient daily operations and material availabilityPerform inventory and warehouse system transactions using scanners or computer systems; support accurate stock records, material identification, and inventory countsCoordinate with carriers, internal teams, vendors, and customers as needed regarding shipment readiness, pickup and delivery requirements, and exceptionsIdentify and report shortages, damaged product, labeling issues, shipping discrepancies, or process problems and support timely corrective actionMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company standards and applicable safety proceduresFollow standard work, work instructions, quality requirements, and established procedures; support updates or training when processes changeLogistics operator requirements:Prior experience in warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or a related material-handling environmentHands-on experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other powered material-handling equipment safely and efficientlyAbility to load, unload, move, organize, and stage materials or freight while protecting product condition and supporting efficient material flowWorking knowledge of shipping and receiving documentation such as bills of lading (bols), packing slips, shipping labels, and related recordsExperience using barcode scanners, warehouse or inventory systems, and basic computer tools to record and track material movementStrong attention to accuracy when verifying quantities, labels, product condition, shipment information, and inventory recordsAbility to follow standard operating procedures, safety requirements, and quality expectations in a warehouse or production environmentDependable teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to respond to changing daily priorities in a fast-paced operationExperience with a warehouse management system (wms) or enterprise resource planning (erp) system for inventory, shipping, or receiving transactions; experience with oracle jd edwards is a plusExperience palletizing, wrapping, packaging, labeling, and securing products for shipmentFamiliarity with equipment inspections, and organized warehouse standardsBasic microsoft office skills and experience communicating with carriers, vendors, customers, or internal production teamsOn-site warehouse and/or manufacturing environment with regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling throughout the shiftAbility to safely handle materials manually and with appropriate lifting or powered equipment, following all required personal protective equipment (ppe) and safety practicesAbility to work around moving equipment, loading docks, warehouse traffic, and production activity while maintaining strong safety awarenessQps employment group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the united states.
