Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers professional care, administering medications and treatments, collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure continuity and excellence in patient care. Responsibilities include accurate documentation, patient-specific care planning, and adherence to legal and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques and education.
• Provide timely and accurate information to healthcare providers to support patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including vital signs, medications, and intake/output.
• Develop individualized care plans within 24 hours of patient admission.
• Maintain fiscal responsibility through appropriate use of supplies and pharmacy items.
• Support a culture of teamwork by participating in staff orientation, meetings, and training.
• Engage in special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least one year of RN experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience of one year or more preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current and unrestricted nursing license for the state of Washington.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of nursing procedures and patient care principles.
• Ability to apply age-specific growth and development principles to patient care.
• Commitment to patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
• Effective organizational and prioritization skills within a nursing unit.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with technology, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs occasionally, with frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Vision, hearing, and speech within normal range, with or without corrective devices.

Work Schedule

Part-time, 12-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week.
