Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing recognized assessments and careful observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Implement direct speech therapy sessions that enhance abilities in communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish integrated care plans.
• Educate patients and families to bolster therapeutic gains and encourage progression beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Maintain timely and precise documentation in accordance with all relevant state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Keep abreast of advancements in clinical practice through continual education and collaboration with colleagues.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of commencement.
