We are seeking a Medical Assistant or LVN to become a part of the La Peer Pediatric Team. You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
- Perform and document vital signs, pulse rate, blood pressure, weight, height, head circumference, hearing and vision.
- Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments
- Assist physician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and stock exam rooms with appropriate supplies.
- Assist with immunization inventory
- Administer injections, draw blood and perform routing specimen collection
- Follow daily/weekly/monthly assignments as directed by Practice Administrator
- Must be available one Saturday 9 am to 12 noon every five weeks.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Certification from a accredited medical assistance program
- Strong organizational skills
- EMR experience
- Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
- MUST HAVE AT LEAST THREE YEARS EXPERIENCE IN PEDIATRICS
