We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN to deliver exceptional, high-quality care within our fast-paced Intensive Care Unit.As a key member of our ICU team, you will provide expert assessment, stabilization, and ongoing management of critically ill patients while collaborating closely with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and families. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in complex clinical environments and are passionate about supporting patients through their most vulnerable times.This per diem position requires the following minimum commitments:1 shift per pay period (12 hours)1 weekend shift per month1 summer and 1 winter holidayIf you are a skilled critical care nurse seeking flexibility while delivering lifesaving care, we invite you to apply and make a difference—one patient at a time.Patient Care & Clinical PracticeFacilitate, implement, and evaluate the Patient Plan of Care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary health care team.Apply strong critical-thinking abilities and effective prioritization in managing patient needs.Perform comprehensive patient assessments at admission, transfer, and discharge, documenting accurately within required timeframes.Identify and address patient educational needs, integrating teaching into the plan of care.Safety & Risk AssessmentAssess patient safety risks and identify those requiring specific safety devices or interventions.Evaluate test results promptly, ensuring immediate action on critical findings.Technical & Procedural SkillsUtilize appropriate technical skills and equipment operation consistent with departmental standards.Collect accurate blood and urine specimens using proper techniques and equipment.Correctly label, process, and ensure timely delivery of specimens to laboratory services or external agencies.Documentation & CommunicationDocument assessments and care activities on multidisciplinary forms thoroughly and promptly.Modify documentation as patient condition or care needs change.Communicate effectively with the health care team to support coordinated, high-quality care.QualificationsMinimum of 1-year Critical Care RN experience requiredEPIC preferredCredentialsRN - Registered NurseBLS - Basic Life Saving certificationACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life SupportNIH - Stroke CertificationEducationGraduate of an accredited nursing programOther InformationEntry USD $36.20/Hr.
