Early Career Trial Attorney (New York)

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation from case inception to verdict.
  • Gather and organize documents, evidence, and legal research for cases.
  • Conduct legal research on relevant laws and case precedents.
  • Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents.
  • Interview clients and witnesses, maintain communication records.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as needed.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations for potential impacts on cases.
  • Participate in training sessions and mentorship programs.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
  • Successful completion of courses focused on legal research, writing, and analysis.
  • Strong time management skills; balance multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Capable of organizing case files and managing legal documents.
  • Skilled in communicating with clients and maintaining records of interactions.
  • Well-versed in legal ethics and standards of professional conduct.
  • Fundamental negotiation techniques and strategies for client interactions.

Certifications & Qualifications
