This position is ideal for someone who likes to multi-task and has excellent organizational and communication skills. Professional development opportunities include the ability to participate in the clinical ladder and to cross train to other areas throughout the clinic.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Provide telephone and walk-in triage. Contact patient regarding results and discuss plan of care.Review and complete the in-basket processSchedule procedures, enter ancillary orders, draw labs, pre-op education and coordinating pre-op plan of care with cardiac catheterization labPerform nurse visits, nuclear and echo stress testing, and treadmillsAssist CMA's/RMA's on rooming patients, medication reconciliation, EKG's, phlebotomy, and lab courier processAssist other nursing personnel in the delivery of patient care and serve as a team leader including nurse visitsAssess and document wound care in the device clinic and follow infection prevention policiesAct as preceptor and support the development of other staff and formal learnersPerform other related duties incidental to the work described hereinJob Eligibility Requirements:Work requires graduation from an accredited Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) are encouraged to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date but must complete the BSN program within seven years of their start date.Exception: Registered nurses hired between July 1, 2014 and April 11, 2021 without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) are encouraged to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date but must complete the program within seven years of their start date. Registered nurses hired before July 1, 2014 are not required to enroll in a BSN program to remain in this job classification.Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience is required.Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
