Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D)

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor & Delivery (L&D) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing high-risk pregnancies and providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care to laboring mothers and newborns.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and manage appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Float within the Labor & Delivery department, including 1-2 shifts per week in postpartum.
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically EPIC.

Schedule

This position involves 12-hour night shifts, averaging 36 hours per week, with a requirement of every third weekend.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Proven experience with high-risk pregnancies and high acuity cases.
• Experience in circulating during deliveries is required; scrub experience is preferred.
• Completion of multiple travel contracts is preferred.
• Recent experience within larger, high-volume delivery centers, handling 200-300 deliveries per month.

Certifications

• Active Iowa RN license.
• BLS certification (AHA).
• ACLS certification (AHA).
• AWHONN certification for fetal monitoring.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
