Material Handler | Houston, TX Position Summary: The Material Handler moves steel bar and tube throughout the facility and prepares material for shipment while maintaining accurate product traceability. Tube Supply’s Houston posting includes using forklifts and overhead cranes, conducting hardness testing, measuring steel products, packaging material, and assisting with inventory. Key Responsibilities: Work with Operations Management to prioritize orders and special projects. Move steel bar and tubing using forklifts and overhead cranes. Receive, identify, tag, tally, and properly store incoming materials. Maintain product traceability throughout material movement. Organize material storage areas. Perform hardness testing on steel products when required. Use a tape measure and other tools to verify material dimensions. Package and prepare material for shipment. Report material or equipment deficiencies to supervisors. Participate in cycle counts and year-end physical inventory. Keep work areas clean and organized. Follow all HSE, QMS, and company safety requirements. Qualifications: Previous material-handling experience; excellent forklift skills; forklift and/or overhead-crane experience; basic computer skills; ability to read measurements and identify materials accurately; good communication skills.
