As a member of our team you'll enjoy excellent benefits, opportunities for growth, and an encouraging culture that supports work / life balance.The Operations Manager is responsible for supervising all phases of the window manufacturing process, working directly with Production Manager, Area Coordinators, Team Leaders, EHS Manager, Materials Manager, Maintenance and TMX Manager.Specific Duties / Responsibilities:Provide sound leadership, coaching, mentoring, and direction for personnel development and employee engagementReviewing production performance and identifying training opportunities of production personnel as necessaryBe safety minded and ability to put Safety 1st - Ensure compliance with company & occupational health & safety regulationsLead by example, setting a positive tone for the organization, creating a motivating work environment and elevating the overall team member experience across functionsDevelop and approve the business' budget and operational objectives, and monitor performance against sameImprove production processes for the purpose of improving overall quality, reducing lead-times, and lowering costs of operations by utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods, 6S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, etc. applications where necessaryEstablish production objectives & monitor Plant performance to established objectivesCoordination of the utilization of plant facilities, equipment, materials and production manpowerDetermine the success of the business through leadership, development, and coordination of efforts by the management group – Production, Materials, Sales, HR & EngineeringEnsure high standards of quality & customer satisfactionEstablish and monitor overall performance for production and quality standardsDevelop and implement short- and long-range strategies and objectivesPromoting positive corporate relations with customersIdentify new materials, processes & technologies which if applied to our business could have a positive impact on our profitabilityOther duties and responsibilities as assigned.Education/Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Management, or related field required.Minimum 5-7 years' experience in Production Management, Operations Management in manufacturing environment required.Prior experience in Production / Operations for manufactured windows, supply / distribution preferred.Prior P & L and commercial responsibility is required.Qualifications:Excellent planning and organizational skillsWell-developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levelsMicrosoft Word, Excel, as well as strong math skillsMust be detail-oriented and can multi-task effectivelyDemonstrated adherence to safety protocolsAbility to adapt quickly and make sound decisions in a changing, fast-paced work environmentPass a drug screen and pre-employment physicalWhy Clayton?Full-time team members have the flexibility to create their own health, dental, and vision benefits package.
