Practice Support Specialist-Ob/Gyn Admin

Shift: 8a-5p

Summary:

Enhances the operational flow of the assigned practice/medical service at the main campus satellites, and affiliated community partners. Performs a variety of duties to support the department and assigned faculty members. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• Administrative support experience or experience performing duties relevant to the position.
• Proficient PC skills with Word, Excel, Acrobat, PowerPoint. Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrated organizational skills, communication skills and problem solving.
• Ability to work independently within a team environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of individuals.

Preferred:

• Related experience in a medical practice.
• Experience working in an educational/medical research setting.
• Medical terminology. Medical program coordination experience.
• Bilingual Spanish based on departmental need.

Physical Demands:

• May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating.
• May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing.
• Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
• Ability to read job related documents. Ability to use computer.
