Job Details Assignment Type: Travel RN, on-site Location: Charlottesville, Virginia 22908 Shift: 12-hour night shifts Shifts Per Week: 3 Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: November 9, 2026 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,840 - $1,940 Unit: Level III NICU Charting System: Epic Orientation: 36 hours Weekend Coverage: Required Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending Virginia RN license accepted before start Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required Full-time Level III NICU experience required; Level IV NICU experience is highly preferred BLS and NRP required Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate required or may be submitted pending Epic experience required Strong clinical experience with ventilator management, IV fluid titration, hemodynamic support, neonatal assessments, and medication calculations BSN preferred Responsibilities Provide expert nursing care for critically ill neonates and infants in a busy neonatal intensive care unit Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced respiratory support, including HFOV, HFJV, CPAP/BiPAP, NIPPV/NIMV, and iNO Perform and assist with admissions, IV placement, lab draws, line care, wound and drain care, and ostomy care Support complex neonatal care including whole-body cooling, post-op care, and hemodynamic stabilization Assist with procedures such as intubation, lumbar puncture, PICC placement, umbilical line placement, and chest tube placement Float within scope to newborn care, postpartum, pediatrics, and PICU when needed Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, compassionate, family-centered care Apply now for this Charlottesville NICU travel nursing job and join a dedicated healthcare team today.
