Restaurant Manager - Raising Cane’s Location: 5901 Mills Civic Pkwy #7000, West Des Moines, IA 50266, United States. Pay range: $20.00 per hour (initial hiring pay). Job Overview The Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Leader in day‑to‑day operations and upholds Raising Cane’s standards and culture in shift management responsibilities. Work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment requires extended periods of physical exertion (walking, standing, lifting, bending) and interaction with customers. This includes inside and outside work in varied temperatures, around food products, allergens, industrial equipment, and commercial cleaning products requiring personal protective equipment. Responsibilities Ensure operations meet Raising Cane’s standards in all restaurant zones during a shift. Act as manager on duty and open/close the restaurant. Manage cash handling and ensure accountability. Enforce Raising Cane’s policies and standards. Execute shift management, meeting operations and safety standards. Use required tools, forms, and logs to support shift execution, document results, and take corrective action when needed. Direct crew members during a shift. Provide exemplary customer service. Utilize reward and recognition program for crew members. Authorize employee functions requiring manager approval (discounts, promotions, timeclock overrides, etc.). Ensure cleanliness and facility condition. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities that may change constantly. Self‑driven, flexible, highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skills. Can work effectively and efficiently independently and collaboratively. Can recognize problems, set goals, execute plans to solve problems. Knowledge and skills in staffing, scheduling, people, and cost management. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and can learn new systems quickly. Able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and travel as needed. Must complete all required Raising Cane’s company training programs. 1+ years of restaurant or retail management experience. Must be 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
