**Required Experience and Licensure:** - 12 months permanent experience in the specialty applying for is required. Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Progressive care experience is preferred but not required. - Permanent Ohio license or compact state license must be in hand at the time of submission. - Must have 1 year of combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for. **Certifications:** - Active American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are required. **Testing and Assessment:** - ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate will be completed during orientation, with an acceptable score required on both assessments. **References:** - One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager (ANM), supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required. References must be from assignments worked in the past 12 months. Co-worker references will not be considered. **Vaccine Requirements:** - COVID-19 Vaccine required, with medical/religious exemptions only. - Flu Vaccine required, with medical/religious exemptions only. **Additional Compliance:** - Background checks (BG) are required, and the facility will review BG hits. No open cases will be accepted. - Facility does not accept any license hits. - Nurses and Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) are exempt from the Nicotine-Free Facility Requirements temporarily. All other travelers must be nicotine-free, with a negative 10-panel + nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start. - BCI/FBI prints are time-sensitive and must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract. **Extension Policy:** - Candidates may extend with the client for a period of 18 months; after which a 6-month break is required. The client may defer the required 6-month break on a case-by-case basis. **Competency and Modules:** - Annual hands-on competency requirement for nurses who remain on a continuous contract for a minimum of 1 year. - Modules are required pre-start and annually, with 4 hours billable. Additional time for pre-start modules is non-billable.
