Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is hiring Respiratory Therapists (RTs) to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team!

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

As a Respiratory Therapist (RT) , you will provide respiratory care and treatment while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary clinical team.

Responsibilities include:

• Set up and operate mechanical ventilators and other respiratory therapy equipment.

• Administer therapeutic gases, aerosol medications, and respiratory treatments according to physician orders.

• Monitor patients' vital signs and physiological responses to respiratory therapy.

• Assist patients with breathing exercises and prescribed respiratory techniques.

• Monitor and adjust respiratory equipment to achieve optimal treatment outcomes.

• Identify and report adverse reactions or significant changes in patient condition.

• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff regarding respiratory care needs.

• Maintain accurate respiratory therapy documentation and patient records.

• Inspect and test respiratory therapy equipment for proper and safe operation.

• Coordinate equipment repairs when necessary.

• Educate and demonstrate respiratory care procedures to healthcare personnel and trainees as appropriate.

Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy program .

• Respiratory therapy experience and/or related clinical training preferred.

• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

• Strong commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

License Requirement

• Active State Respiratory Care Practitioner License required.
