Location Description

The Blaine, Washington plant produces almond and cashew butter, with annual production of approximately 8 million pounds. The site supports a small team of manufacturing and support employees and plays an important role in supplying specialty nut butter products.

Blaine, Washington, acts as the final U.S. border town directly on the 49th parallel, nestled immediately between Vancouver, BC (35 miles north) and Bellingham, WA, while serving as the primary northern terminus of Interstate 5, about 110 miles north of Seattle. It is home to the famous Peace Arch State Park and two major border crossings.

What You'll Do

As a Warehouse Associate, you will support warehouse and production operations through material handling, forklift operation, inventory movement, and shipping and receiving activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring materials and finished goods move efficiently throughout the facility while maintaining the highest standards of safety, food safety, and quality.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Perform pre-shift forklift inspections and operate equipment safely and efficiently.

• Transport materials, ingredients, and finished products throughout the facility.

• Supply production lines with materials needed to support operations.

• Move pallets and inventory to designated warehouse and production locations.

• Load, unload, and move products and materials manually or using powered industrial equipment.

• Conduct material handling activities including counting, weighing, sorting, packaging, and unpacking products.

• Utilize RF scanning technology to support inventory accuracy and traceability.

• Communicate effectively with drivers, vendors, suppliers, and internal team members.

• Assist with sanitation activities and support food safety initiatives.

• Update reports and maintain documentation using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

• Follow all GMP, PPE, food safety, quality, and company safety requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Current Counterbalance Forklift Certification.

• Minimum one year of forklift and warehouse experience.

• Ability to read and interpret safety procedures and work instructions in English.

• Ability to write routine reports and business communications in English.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a food manufacturing environment.

• Experience working within GMP and PPE-regulated facilities.

• Experience using RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems.

• Demonstrated ability to multitask, stay organized, and solve problems in a fast-paced setting.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.

• Ability to sit, bend, twist, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
