Work Environment

This role is performed onsite at our outpatient office in Davis, offering a dynamic and welcoming environment for both staff and patients. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions, assessing their needs and formulating individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practice.
• Implement therapy interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic modalities, and tailored exercise programs to facilitate recovery.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to meet evolving patient goals.
• Utilize our electronic medical records (EMR) system to maintain accurate and timely documentation, ensuring compliance with our organizational protocols and state regulations.
• Educate patients and their families on recovery exercises, pain management techniques, and lifestyle modifications to aid in long-term health management.
• Engage in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and clinic efficiency.
• Adhere to California's Physical Therapy licensing standards, keeping up to date with best practices and regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, from athletes recovering from sports injuries to elderly individuals dealing with age-associated conditions. The outpatient setting emphasizes personalized care, where your expertise can significantly influence rehabilitation outcomes.

Qualifications

• A valid California Physical Therapist License (or eligibility to obtain one).
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from a recognized accredited program (a Doctor of Physical Therapy is preferred).
• Current CPR and BLS Certification.
• Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with healthcare professionals and building rapport with patients.
• Experience using EMR tools for documentation and patient management.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy capacity.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient settings, particularly orthopedics and sports rehabilitation.
• Bilingual proficiency in languages such as Spanish, Mandarin, or Tagalog is a plus, enhancing our ability to serve a wider community.

Compensation and Benefits

Gulf Side Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
