About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Vice President for Real Estate Development to spearhead its affordable housing and community impact initiatives. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a proven track record in affordable housing development, real estate finance, and community development. This executive role is pivotal in advancing the company's strategies for affordable housing, community facilities, preservation, and acquisition, with a focus on long-term community impact. The EVP will be responsible for the entire development process, from acquisition to post-occupancy, and will work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer to shape and execute multi-year development strategies. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the field, with at least 3 years in an executive or senior leadership position. Deep expertise in affordable housing finance, deal structuring, and a strong understanding of public funding sources is essential. The role requires a leader with strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills, who can influence across functions and drive results in a mission-driven environment. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, and familiarity with the Bay Area's housing issues and community development challenges is preferred. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the company's mission and dedicated to creating lasting community impact through transformative development projects.
