Now Hiring: Kitchen Staff

Location: CHOR YFS | Reading, PA 19601

Pay: $16.50 per hour

Job Type: Full-time

Shift Days: Position varies and some weekends as needed

Shift Hours: 11:30am - 7:30pm

The Children's Home of Reading Youth & Family Services (CHOR YFS) is seeking full-time Kitchen Staff.

Position Summary: As a member of our kitchen staff, your responsibilities will include performing general tasks such as serving meals, prep of meals, cleaning, putting away stock, and cooking the meals.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or G.E.D. (preferred)
• At least 21 years of age.
• Cooking/food prep experience in restaurant, hospital, or school setting.
• Must be willing to work Flexible Hours and Available as scheduled and in Multiple Locations. Must have reliable transportation.
• Must demonstrate basic communication skills- verbal, reading and written.
• Must be able to read, speak, and write in English.

Additional Requirements: The candidate must pass required Criminal Record History Clearance, FBI and Child Abuse History Clearance. Must pass both federal and state background checks which screen for crimes including, but not limited to drug related crimes, violent crimes, sexual abuse, domestic violence, child abuse, and repeated misdemeanors.

The candidate must pass a Physical & Drug Screening & possess the ability to attend and successfully complete all required trainings.

• Drug screening does include testing for THC levels.
