VALUES: Accessibility, Integrity, Achievement, Supportive Environment Position Overview The Clinical Education Manager plays a vital role in promoting the safety and well-being of patients, employees, volunteers, and the community by leading infection prevention initiatives, supporting the ongoing professional development of employees, and taking a proactive approach to education initiatives with partner facilities and clinics. This position is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating infection control programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., DOH, CMS, OSHA) and serves as a liaison with public health agencies as needed. The Clinical Education Manager serves as a cross-trained operational resource to ensure continuity of leadership and patient care across hospice clinical programs, including coverage for the Hospice House Manager and the In-Home Hospice Manager during planned and unplanned absences. In addition, this position leads clinical education efforts by facilitating onboarding of nurses and certified nursing assistants (CNA’s), providing regular in-inservices, training sessions, and continuous learning opportunities that support employee competencies, regulatory compliance, and excellence in hospice and palliative care. The RN ensures that clinical education aligns with end-of-life care, regulatory compliance, and clinical excellence. The Clinical Education Manager provides educational outreach to schools, healthcare facilities, clinics, and community groups to educate and raise awareness and understanding of hospice and palliative care services. Through these efforts, the Clinical Education Manager helps strengthen community partnerships and promote informed care decisions that support patients and families. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Washington State. Certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Safety (BLS). Washington State Food Worker Card issued by the Department of Health. Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience. Strong teaching, communication, and public speaking skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners. Knowledge of adult learning principles and educational methodologies. Familiarity with infection control surveillance, data analysis, and reporting. Availability to work weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays as part of the administrator on-call rotation. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation, as driving is an essential function of this role. Must meet insurance eligibility requirements. This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen which includes cannabis testing in Washington State. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field. Experience in clinical education and/or infection prevention. Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse (CHPN) through the Hospice and Palliative Care Credentialing Center (HPCC) Certification in Infection Control (CIC) Hospice and/or palliative care experience. Experience in supervision, team leadership, or staff development. Bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to speak, read, write, and communicate effectively in both languages. Hiring Range: The starting pay range offered to new hires, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits Vacation: Accrued each pay period based on your hours worked. Sick Leave: Accrued in accordance with Washington State Sick Leave Law. Wellness Days: After completion of the 90-day introductory period, employees may convert up to two (2) accrued sick days annually into wellness days. Paid Holidays: Ten (10) paid agency observed holidays per year, available upon hire. Bereavement Leave: Three (3) days for the loss of an immediate family member. Two (2) days for the loss of a household pet or service animal. Community Volunteer Day (Yay Day): One (1) paid day annually for volunteer service, granted each January.
