Zero Trust Architect

Zero Trust Architect We are seeking a Zero Trust Architect to support the Joint Program Office (JPO) and Data Operations Team. In this role you will design, implement, and advance Zero Trust security strategies across enterprise and mission‑critical environments. You will work across cloud, hybrid, and on‑premises systems to secure data, applications, and infrastructure through identity‑centric controls, least‑privilege access, micro‑segmentation, and continuous monitoring. Responsibilities Design and implement Zero Trust security architectures aligned with operational objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate Zero Trust principles into data management and operational workflows. Support compliance with Department of Defense and federal cybersecurity requirements. Provide technical guidance for cloud, hybrid, and on‑premises environments to improve security posture and enable secure data sharing. Lead product selection initiatives, including automation, orchestration, visibility and analytics, secure DevOps, identity and access management, conditional access, attribute‑based access control, and micro‑segmentation. Guide senior leaders (CISO, CIO, CTO) in building and executing cybersecurity capability maturation plans. Author technical documentation, white papers, and blog posts on cybersecurity topics. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in IT operations or cybersecurity with large federal organizations. 5+ years of experience leading technical project delivery for large, complex organizations. 3+ years of experience with the BigID Enterprise Data Security Platform. Experience architecting Zero Trust solutions, road maps, and capabilities aligned with NIST 800‑207, CISA Maturity Model, or DoD Zero Trust Strategy. Proficiency in selecting and implementing security tools and capabilities for federal or commercial enterprises. Strong communication skills and ability to work with senior executives. Ability to author technical documentation and high‑quality implementation plans. Secret clearance required. Bachelor’s degree. AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification (nice to have). Information Security certifications such as CEH, CISM, CCSP, CCSK, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+ (nice to have). Experience with AWS, Azure, Oracle, or GCP cloud architectures (nice to have). Experience in cybersecurity compliance, operations, or engineering leadership roles (nice to have). Compensation and Benefits Compensation range: $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD).
