Position Summary: The Medical Assistant will perform routine clinical and administrative duties in support of the assigned area or office. Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.

Position Summary: The Medical Assistant will perform routine clinical and administrative duties in support of the assigned area or office. Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
- Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
- Documents patient care given.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintains examination areas.
- Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- A graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within 60 days of hire.
- The following certifications are required: CCMA, CMA, or RMA.
