Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality nursing care to orthopedic and neurology patients within a Med Surg unit. This role involves supporting patient recovery through skilled clinical interventions and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to bedside protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions, document changes, and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist with procedures such as total knee and hip replacements, laminectomies, and fusions.
• Maintain detailed electronic health records using Meditech EMR.
• Support patient safety and comfort by following unit policies, including weekend and on-call responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including use of spine and ortho braces and appropriate unit dress code.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current licensure required.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing.
• Must have Meditech EMR experience.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Possess strong teamwork, communication, and patient care skills.
• Experience with orthopedic and neurology procedures preferred.
