Radiography Level II Film Interpreter

Responsibilities for this Position

The Industrial Radiographer/Film Interpreter is responsible for performing interpretation of radiographs to evaluate weld quality, including evaluation of both pipe and structural weldments in accordance with applicable standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Primary duties include reviewing film in accordance with specification applicable for part and class; reviewing radiographic technique forms for completeness and accuracy; documentation and maintenance of recor
  Proof of any relevant OJT and /or certifications are required to be considered for this role. Do you acknowledge and agree to this requirement?ds pertaining to any deficiencies and dispositions; provide customer audit support.
• Will contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards; develop solutions to complex problems; ensure solutions are consistent with organizational objectives; exercise considerable independent judgment and discretion in determining long-term goals, objectives and approaches to assignments
• Will serve as a consultant to management and external contacts; represent the organization on major matters pertaining to policies, plans and objectives; and be responsible for teaching/mentoring new analysts

This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI location. This is a second shift position - training will be done on first shift.

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 4+ years of relevant experience
• A minimum of 2+ years of radiography experience- including minimum 1 year as certified Level I radiographer.
• Must be able to obtain EB Level IIRT certificationwithin one (1) year
• Must be able to work overtime when required.(including weekends and holidays)
• Must be able to work other shifts as business needs.
• Proof of any relevant OJT and /or certifications must be provided by the applicant in order to be considered.

Preferred:

• Current level II certification IAW Tech Pub -271 / NAVSEA 250-1500-1

• Previous radiography film interpretation experience
• Experience shooting and viewing castings
• Previous radiography shooting qualifications/experience
• The ability to read and interpretblueprints
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
