Position Summary:

As a Showroom Manager, you will be the key driver behind achieving sales targets, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring the overall success of the store. This role requires strong leadership and the ability to implement effective sales strategies while fostering a positive, customer-focused environment. You will oversee a team, coach, and develop talent, uphold operational and visual standards, and align all activities with company values to maintain a high-performing, solution-oriented team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Drive Sales & Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Make strategic and operational decisions that reflect and support Purple’s core values.
• Drive company sales strategies to meet or exceed sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Set clear goals, consistently monitor overall store performance, and track team progress towards objectives.
• Take ownership of both personal sales goals and team sales performance.
• Hold team members accountable for their individual sales performance and overall productivity.
• Create optimized store schedules that align staffing with peak customer traffic to maximize sales.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Hire and Develop Talent

• Recruit, hire, and develop a team of top-performing associates.
• Lead, coach, and model customer engagement and sales behaviors that align with Purple’s strategy.
• Foster a positive and supportive work environment where employees are motivated and excited to come to work.
• Manage and lead a team of approximately 4-5 associates, ensuring their development and growth.

Uphold Visual and Operational Standards

• Adhere to Purple's policies, including safety and operational procedures.
• Utilize company resources to set up and maintain effective visual merchandising displays and promotional materials.
• Ensure the store environment is customer-centric and solution-oriented.
• Ability to learn and share product knowledge with customers to ensure they find the best solution for their needs and preferences.
• Lead by example in demonstrating and instilling company values such as safety, community, communication, development, accountability, and innovation.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in a retail environment, ideally in a store manager role.
• Comfortable learning and adapting to new technologies and tools.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Have a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability to stay organized, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
• Strong leadership, team-building, and problem-solving capabilities.
• A solid understanding of basic business management functions.
• Enthusiastic, positive attitude.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and manage a team.

• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
• Moving in various positions to complete tasks in different environments.
• Communicating with others to exchange information.

Physical activities may consistently include:

• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing for extended periods.
• Moving around to complete tasks or transitioning between different work areas.
• Reaching or bending frequently.
• Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds, with the ability to lift up to 200 pounds with team assistance or equipment.
• Repeating motions such as using wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Operating power tools, depending on the role.
• Assessing the accuracy and quality of work performed.
