Data Science Analyst

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Data Science Analyst to join their dynamic team. As a Data Science Analyst, you will be an integral part of the Data & Analytics Department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate analytical thinking, strong communication skills, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Data Science Analyst

Location: Charlotte, NC

Pay Range: $57.00 - $67.00/hr

What's the Job?

• Support firmwide market data governance programs, including inventory management, entitlement models, and usage oversight
• Ensure market data usage aligns with vendor contracts, firm policies, and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to internal audits, vendor audits, regulatory inquiries, and compliance reviews related to market data
• Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing and Third-Party Risk Management on market data vendor evaluations, renewals, negotiations, and cost optimization initiatives
• Assist in analyzing market data spend, usage patterns, and chargeback models across lines of business

What's Needed?

• 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
• 4+ years of experience in market data, financial data management, or business analysis within a financial services firm
• 4+ years of experience with market data vendors, products, and licensing models
• 4+ years supporting frontoffice, risk, compliance, or finance functions in a regulated environment
• 4+ years of experience gathering, documenting, and managing complex business requirements
