Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, including experience in pediatric nursing, and will thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role demands a compassionate approach to patient care, particularly for patients experiencing critical conditions.

Schedule

This position requires a day shift from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established standards.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Manage critical situations while providing exceptional patient support.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Float to other units as needed and maintain charge capability as preferred.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department, with pediatric experience.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC must be in hand).
• Valid driver's license with an address matching the demographics provided.
• NURSYS report verification with active NY License and all RN licenses required.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is essential.
