A SAP HANA Azure Migration Consultant is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the migration of SAP HANA systems to the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. This role requires deep knowledge of both SAP HANA and Azure, along with project management skills.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP HANA Azure Migration Consultant to lead the migration of our SAP HANA systems to the Microsoft Azure cloud. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing migration strategies, coordinating migration activities, and ensuring a successful transition while maintaining high availability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Migration Planning and Strategy:
   • Develop comprehensive migration strategies, project plans, and timelines tailored to specific SAP HANA environments.
   • Assess existing SAP HANA landscapes and create detailed migration roadmaps.
   • Define Azure resources and services required for successful migrations.
2. SAP HANA System Migration:
   • Lead SAP HANA system migrations to Azure, including system copies, data transfers, and version upgrades.
   • Configure and optimize Azure infrastructure for SAP HANA workloads.
   • Ensure minimal downtime and data integrity during migration.
3. Azure Infrastructure Setup:
   • Deploy and configure Azure Virtual Machines (VMs), storage, networking, and other relevant services to support SAP HANA deployments.
   • Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions on Azure.
   • Optimize Azure resources for cost-effectiveness.
4. Security and Compliance:
   • Implement robust security measures to protect SAP HANA systems and data during migration.
   • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
   • Conduct security assessments and audits.
5. Performance Optimization:
   • Identify and address performance bottlenecks in SAP HANA systems running on Azure.
   • Tune and optimize SAP HANA and Azure configurations for optimal performance.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain detailed documentation of migration processes, configurations, and outcomes.
   • Generate migration status reports and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
7. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SAP administrators, database administrators, and Azure experts.
   • Share knowledge and expertise through training and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a SAP HANA Consultant specializing in migrations to Azure.
• SAP HANA certification(s) is a plus.
• Azure certification(s) such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Strong knowledge of SAP HANA systems, architecture, and administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services and infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication, project management, and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with SAP HANA on Azure is highly desirable.
