Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients in pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
• Craft tailored treatment plans to meet individual objectives, addressing immediate challenges alongside long-term communication and swallowing needs.
• Deliver in-depth, personalized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication skills, language utility, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and relatives to develop integrated care strategies.
• Provide education and resources to patients and families aimed at encouraging progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Facilitate occasional speech therapy assessments and interventions within inpatient scenarios, ensuring consistent and effective treatment all throughout.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and agency standards.
• Engage in ongoing education and collaborations with peers to stay abreast of the latest developments in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not obtained yet.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
