Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,869 a week in all, a taxable rate of $32.65 an hour plus $1,694 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Labor and Delivery Department in Danbury, Connecticut. This position provides comprehensive care for laboring patients, including spontaneous vaginal deliveries, assisted births, high-risk labor management, labor induction and augmentation, and cesarean section support. The role includes surgical patient management and may require rotation to maternity, pediatrics, and the neonatal intensive care unit.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week, including three weekend shifts per four-week schedule and holiday coverage.
• Required Qualifications: Connecticut nursing license; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; National Certification Corporation (NCC) certification in Certified Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (C-EFM) within one year of the first assignment; Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification; at least two years of current labor and delivery experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with intermittent Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM), interpretation of fetal heart rate tracings, management of spontaneous vaginal deliveries and assisted births, high-risk labor management, induction and augmentation of labor, amnioinfusion, cesarean section circulation, and surgical patient management. Certified Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (C-EFM) certification is strongly preferred at the start of the assignment.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include interpretation of Category I through III fetal heart rate tracings, management of high-risk conditions such as intrauterine growth restriction, preeclampsia, and gestational diabetes, use of cervical ripening agents and labor augmentation protocols, and support for cesarean section procedures. Rotation may include maternity, pediatrics, and the neonatal intensive care unit.
