This full-time position offers the convenience of a remote work structure, enabling you to connect with clients in an outpatient setting, enhancing your ability to provide care to those in need. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Bellarine Counseling Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to identify the mental health needs of clients effectively and establishing tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
  • \n
  • Providing individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-based interventions to address various mental health concerns.
  • \n
  • Collaborating with case managers, psychiatrists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure round-the-clock, holistic care for clients, effectively addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • \n
  • Delivering crisis intervention services to clients in acute distress, using your expertise and compassionate approach to guide them through emotional emergencies.
  • \n
  • Engaging in community outreach programs and educational initiatives aimed at promoting mental health awareness and reducing societal stigma attached to mental illness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse clientele, encompassing individuals from different backgrounds, cultures, and socioeconomic statuses. Our commitment to serving vulnerable populations means that you will gain valuable experience working with clients facing unique challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

  • A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
  • \n
  • An active and independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • \n
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients from various backgrounds.

  • Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity to engage effectively with clients from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic groups.
  • \n
  • Excellent organizational abilities and time-management skills, with attention to detail and proficiency in timely documentation and record-keeping.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in community mental health settings, experience conducting therapy in diverse environments, or familiarity with electronic health record systems will be considered strong applicants. Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, dependent on your credentials and experience. In addition to a salary, we provide an attractive benefits package that includes:
