Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapist license for practicing in North Carolina
• Previous experience providing physical therapy in educational environments preferred
• Strong understanding of pediatric therapy principles and individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Exceptional communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and family members
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to an interdisciplinary team
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop tailored treatment plans aligned with students’ individual needs and educational goals
• Deliver direct therapy sessions to students, supporting their physical development and participation in school activities
• Document progress, maintain records, and communicate results and recommendations to educators and families
• Contribute to IEP meetings as a knowledgeable resource, providing insight and guidance on student progress
• Collaborate with teachers and support personnel to implement strategies that promote student independence and success across school settings
• Engage in professional development and remain informed of best practices in pediatric school-based therapy
