Pay Rate: $29.00–$32.14 per hour
Employment Type: Contract, with potential for direct hire
Contract Length: Three to six months
Openings: Three
Start Date: As soon as possible
Schedule: 42 hours per week, including weekends and holidays
Work Arrangement: Fully onsite

Candidates must be able to work one of the following schedules:

• Sunday through Wednesday
• Wednesday through Saturday
• Three 12-hour shifts and one six-hour shift each week
• Wednesday will always be the six-hour shift
• Availability for first, second, or third shift may be required

Our client is seeking experienced Manufacturing Technicians III to maintain and repair Passenger Boarding Bridges and related airport equipment at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

This is a senior-level, hands-on maintenance position working outside on the airport ramp around aircraft, vehicles, and heavy equipment. The technician will lead advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair activities involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial control systems.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of industrial maintenance experience, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced airport environment.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Passenger Boarding Bridges and related airport equipment.
• Repair electrical and mechanical systems, including industrial controls, wiring, motors, and related components.
• Perform scheduled, unscheduled, emergency, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
• Document maintenance activities accurately using a computerized maintenance management system.
• Review equipment and system data to identify recurring problems and recommend solutions.
• Lead and delegate maintenance tasks when required.
• Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and team members.
• Provide supervisors with timely updates regarding equipment conditions and critical repairs.
• Support safe, efficient, and continuous airport operations.
• Operate forklifts, golf carts, company vehicles, and other authorized equipment.
• Follow all company, airport, and federal safety and security procedures.
• Complete required safety, equipment, and airport security training.
• Perform additional maintenance responsibilities as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least five years of maintenance operations experience.
• Strong mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on electrical repair and troubleshooting experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the airport security clearance and credentials required for the position.
• Ability to work first, second, or third shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work the full Sunday-through-Wednesday or Wednesday-through-Saturday schedule.
• Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership to other team members.
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to following safety procedures while working around aircraft and heavy equipment.

• Experience repairing mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Intermediate understanding of programmable logic controller systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Previous airport operations or aviation maintenance experience.
• Experience maintaining Passenger Boarding Bridges.
• Experience with baggage handling, conveyor, or material-handling systems.
• Experience using computerized maintenance management software.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and project management tools.
• Previous experience leading or directing maintenance activities.

• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
• Ability to work from ladders and in small or confined spaces.
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools.
• Sufficient close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision to perform maintenance work safely.
• Ability to adjust visual focus while inspecting and repairing equipment.

• Work will be performed onsite at an active airport.
• Technicians will work outside on the airport ramp and tarmac around aircraft, vehicles, and heavy equipment.
• The position involves exposure to moving mechanical equipment, elevated work areas, changing weather, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, cold temperatures, vibration, and loud noise.
• Personal protective equipment and strict compliance with airport safety requirements will be mandatory.
