RN - Oncology

Registered Nurse - Hematology/Oncology

Schedule: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, 4 days a week. No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements.

Location: Traveling between two locations:

• Neptune, NJ
• Brick, NJ

Job Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role includes planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs. The RN will identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Responsibilities also include developing, implementing, and coordinating individualized care plans and performing therapeutic nursing interventions.

• Initiates patient assessments based on their problems or needs and the physician's diagnosis.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions and manages patient care effectively.
• Documents care according to standards and patient acuity.
• Advocates for evidence-based practice and supports innovations in care delivery.
• Provides patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Two (2) years of experience in an acute adult oncology setting, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma.
• Required Education: ASN. Preferred Education: BSN.
• Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• Preferred Certification: Telemetry, Chemotherapy Certification with ONS.
