Senior Solutions Engineer Brazil (US Based) Available Locations: Florida, Atlanta, or Texas Fluency in Portuguese is required Monthly travel to Brazil envisaged What you’ll do as a Solutions Engineer As a Solutions Engineer, you will serve as the advanced technical lynchpin through the entire sales cycle, orchestrating complex enterprise‑grade engagements across both pre‑ and post‑sales phases. Responsibilities Technical Validation & Custom Architecture: Define technical success criteria collaboratively with customers and align validation activities to outcomes. Technical Strategic Ownership: Lead the technical partnership with accounts and maintain deep proficiency in Cloudflare’s portfolio. Business Generation & Expansion: Run technical discovery, qualification, demos, and proofs‑of‑concept to secure technical wins. Enterprise Account Planning & Deal Execution: Participate in account planning, stakeholder mapping, and roadmap development. Customer Advisory & Strategic Guidance: Provide technical best practices and strategic guidance on security, performance, and future‑proofing architectures. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Coordinate feature requests and deliver ecosystem integrations with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Support. Thought Leadership & Mentorship: Contribute to team culture, deliver demos, author training material, and mentor teammates. Travel: Willingness to travel 25‑50% to align face‑to‑face with high‑growth accounts. Requirements Minimum 3+ years of experience in a customer‑facing sales engineering, consulting, or systems engineering role within enterprise segments. Expertise across all layers of the OSI model: BGP, GRE, TCP/UDP, DNS, SSL/TLS. Deep technical knowledge of cloud security and performance portfolios, including multi‑cloud/hybrid environments, reverse‑proxy topologies, SASE, ZTNA, SWG, CASB, DLP, and DDoS mitigation. Polished communication and high emotional intelligence, proven ability to build trusted relationships with developers to C‑level executives. Strong ownership to manage projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize competing demands. Proficiency in adopting and utilizing AI tools. Hands‑on building experience with full‑stack web applications, databases, or generative AI security architectures. Knowledge of web vulnerabilities (CSRF, XSS, SQLi) and how Cloudflare mitigates them. Understanding of regulatory and security frameworks: PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, SOC‑2, FedRAMP. Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (alternative paths valued). Bonus Points Advanced certifications in networking, cloud architectures, or information security (e.g., CISSP, AWS/GCP Solutions Architect).
