Assistant Meat Manager

Main responsibilities: * Manage daily Meat Department operations to meet service, quality, and financial expectations * Maintain a professional, customer‑focused environment and respond to customer inquiries and special orders * Plan and coordinate daily production activities including preparation, packaging, stocking, and merchandising * Ensure displays are stocked, rotated, labeled, and maintained to company standards

• Implement promotional and seasonal programs as scheduled
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, temperature, and regulatory

requirements * Review production results and adjust activities to support yield and profitability goals * Manage ordering, inventory levels, shrink, reclamation, and departmental expenses * Maintain clean, safe work areas including preparation rooms, coolers, freezers, display cases, and equipment * Schedule, train, coach, and oversee associates to ensure coverage and performance expectations * Complete and maintain required documentation including logs, reports, and audits We are looking for candidates who possess the following: Soft skills:

• Meat handling, storage, rotation, and labeling standards
• Food safety and temperature‑control requirements
• Store systems, ordering platforms, and department documentation

Abilities:

• Ability to review sales, labor, inventory, and production data
• Ability to train and direct associates across department functions
• Ability to operate department tools and equipment following company

guidelines * Ability to lift, move, and handle product and work in cooler and freezer environments
