CT Technologist - Weekend Night Shift

Schedule

Friday to Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM EST with on-call shifts and holiday requirements as per unit needs. Must start by June 22 to receive a competitive pay rate.

Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services while ensuring patient comfort and safety. The role involves collaborating with physicians and other team members to facilitate efficient patient care.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and perform exam verification prior to initiating scans.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to alleviate anxiety.
• Insert IVs when necessary for imaging procedures.
• Position patients safely, taking into account their mobility limitations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation within EPIC.
• Ensure that images are accurately identified and sent to the PACS system upon exam completion.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current licensure as a CT Technologist in New York State with injection therapy certification.
• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Experience with Siemens and Philips scanning equipment is preferred.
