About the role

The Senior Staff Accountant will have responsibility for preparing journal entries, work paper preparation, ad hoc analysis, and general accounting for assigned companies.

What you'll be doing

• Processes the monthly, semi-annual and annual general ledger closing procedures including journal entry preparation and review, trial balance tie out and balance sheet scheduling.
• Prepares and distributes all required financial reports for general ledger processes.
• Calculates various monthly accrued expenses.
• Analyzes and resolves all open or reconciling items on account schedules in a timely manner and manages the workpaper preparation and documentation
• Monitors and prepares all ACH/wire transfers, bank reconciliations.
• Creates and provides input into various ad hoc reports including, variance analysis, and Business Unit Reports.
• Coordinates and assists with audit process.
• Participate in peer review

Who we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a dedicated accounting environment
• Proficiency in MS Office products with advanced working knowledge with excel.
• Timberline experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of general ledger, bank and account reconciliations, ACH/wire transfers and invoice and scheduling review.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate clearly and coordinate with various teams and departments
