Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Nurse to provide comprehensive maternity care in a rural West Texas hospital. The role involves managing all aspects of labor, delivery, and postpartum patient care, ensuring safe and efficient deliveries.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and assist with approximately 30-40 deliveries per month, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide care to antepartum, postpartum, and neonatal nursery patients, supporting women's reproductive health needs.
• Serve as an OB circulating nurse, facilitating smooth delivery procedures and patient safety.
• Monitor fetal well-being using intermediate fetal monitoring techniques and respond appropriately to changes.
• Administer ACLS, BLS, and NRP protocols, ensuring certification compliance and emergency readiness.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to maintain high standards of obstetric and neonatal care.

Qualifications:

• Hold current licensure as a Registered Nurse with labor and delivery experience required.
• Possess ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications, and intermediate fetal monitoring skills.
• Demonstrate proficiency in antepartum, postpartum, and nursery patient care.
• Have OB circulator experience preferred, with a focus on safe labor and delivery management.
• Maintain strong communication and teamwork skills within a clinical setting.
