Senior Program Manager – US Navy Logistics Appian seeks a strategic, customer‑focused Senior Program Manager to lead programs within the United States Navy logistics domain. The role involves designing and executing modernized logistics capabilities that support onboarding, adoption, value realization, and renewal for government clients. Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize a portfolio of customer success projects encompassing onboarding, adoption, value realization, and renewal. Lead opportunity identification, solutioning, and sales support activities, including RFI/RFP responses for new and existing programs. Work with senior government leadership to influence and negotiate program directions, requirements, and associated contracts. Manage large‑scale, cross‑functional programs from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives. Develop and manage a strategic roadmap of customer success initiatives that align with company goals and customer needs. Serve as the voice of the customer—collecting and analyzing feedback to inform product strategy. Provide Navy logistics expertise to guide modernization initiatives and influence Appian’s product vision. Drive innovation in program delivery, including the application of AI technologies to accelerate delivery and improve quality. Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators such as customer health scores, agile delivery metrics, and program financials. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional leaders to ensure a cohesive customer experience across all touchpoints. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner. Identify and mitigate risks to customer success, proactively implementing strategies to address challenges. Lead, mentor, and foster a high‑performance culture among Customer Success team members. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. 15+ years of program management experience in complex technology modernization initiatives within the Department of War or other federal government agencies. Ideal candidates possess PMP or PgMP certification, and agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master or SAFe Agilist. Proven track record of developing and executing complex programs and large‑scale projects with measurable results, managing over 50 resources, and $13M+ annual services revenue. Experience leading technology modernization using agile methodologies and AI‑enabled code generation approaches. Strong analytical skills for translating data into actionable insights. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Experience and relationships with clients in the Navy logistics space. Proficiency with Appian and other modern platform technologies (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, Palantir) and/or custom application development. US Citizenship with the ability to hold a US government clearance. Willingness to travel to client locations as required. Salary & Benefits Base Salary Range: $150,000—$325,000 USD.
