Role: Senior Electrical Engineer Digital Hardware Design Location: Rochester, NY Type: Full-Time | Onsite Job Summary Our client, a leading aerospace and defense communications organization, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the development of next‑generation Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms and embedded communication systems. Key Responsibilities Lead embedded digital hardware design and integration activities Support ARM core, DDR memory, Ethernet, and USB system development Conduct simulation, signal integrity, and verification analysis Develop PCB schematics and support layout review processes Execute subsystem and system‑level testing activities Collaborate with RF, firmware, and software engineering teams Support manufacturing transition and field deployment activities Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering 6+ years of digital hardware design experience Experience with embedded microprocessor systems and high‑speed interfaces Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and test equipment Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Security Clearance Preferred Skills SDR architecture experience RF systems integration knowledge Python, VHDL, or embedded scripting experienceLTSpice, HyperLynx, MATLAB, Agile PLM familiarity MIL-STD-461 and IPC standards experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Switch4 LLC
